Summary Of Position Keene State College is seeking a creative, forward thinker to join our “Owls” Admissions team as an Admissions Counselor. The successful candidate will implement and participate in recruitment activities and enjoy growing professionally in a business that brings new and exciting challenges every day. Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree (required by time of appointment) and one year of related experience in higher education (student exp. will be considered) or secondary school education.
• Proven oral and written communication skills
• Demonstrated experience with MS Office systems, including Word, Excel and relational databases
• Valid driver’s license also required.
• Evening and weekend travel is required.

Responsibilities

• Recruiting and communicating with prospective students by attending college fairs
• Visiting high in assigned territory
• Participating in campus programs and open houses
• Reading and reviewing applications for admissions in a paperless system
• Developing and maintaining territory management plan to build connections with prospective students and families
