About The Position

This position is responsible for processing all patients through the admission process.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of Valant Electronic Medical Record System.
  • Knowledge of Hubspot CRM systems or the ability to be trained to learn the system.
  • Knowledge of healthcare terminology and knowledge of different levels of mental health or substance use treatment programs or levels of care.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Effective problem-solving skills and ability to multitask.
  • Effective planning and organizational skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with patients and co-workers.
  • Ability to adhere to safety policies and procedures.
  • Ability to use good judgment and to maintain confidentiality of information.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate's degree in healthcare or related field or the equivalent of experience (1-3 years) of direct experience in the healthcare field.
  • Background in healthcare or related field.
  • Knowledge of either mental health admissions or substance abuse treatment admissions process.

Responsibilities

  • Receive inbound calls, lead forms, or fax referrals for patient treatment and assess need for level of care.
  • Manage inbound referrals via phone, fax or walk in patients.
  • Create electronic medical records, utilize inbound CRM to track referrals, update medical records and CRM on a daily basis.
  • Collect insurance information and verify insurance plans.
  • Oversee and maintain patient intake documentation, and paperwork compliance (e-signature document completion).
  • Oversee and maintain patient portal compliance.
  • Oversee and maintain CRM record status.
  • Communicate and work with the clinical team to assess patient needs.
  • Provide ongoing appointment scheduling.
  • Follow up with patients to assist completing admission steps.
  • Maintain and oversee any additional referral platforms.
  • Provide reporting on all aspects of admissions.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
