About The Position

Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology has an opening in the Enrollment Management Department for an Admissions Associate Director. The ideal candidate will be committed to enriching the lives of students and building a strong community of scholars on campus. As an Admissions Associate Director, you will serve as a regional representative, perform outreach and engagement with a designated geographic area (including Dallas, Texas and surrounding vicinity, Houston, Texas and surrounding vicinity; Austin, Texas and surrounding vicinity; and Fort Worth, Texas and surrounding vicinity). You will work with and build strong relationships with prospective students, families, schools, school counselors, alumni, and community-based organizations by planning recruitment activities. You will represent the institution to external markets and ensure representation of institutional strengths is included in presentations and other communications. Additionally, you will join Dallas/Fort Worth Admissions Regional Network (DARN) and be an active member. Salary range is $60,000 – $75,000. Salary is competitive. A higher salary may be negotiated based on experience and qualifications. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Four to five years of experience in a private institution with college admissions
  • Strong analytical and project/process management skills
  • Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Must be able to speak and interact effectively with alumni, students, faculty, staff, and prospective students and their families from many cultural and socio-economic backgrounds
  • The ability to read and interpret documents like school transcripts and procedure manuals is required
  • The ability to write routine reports and correspondence is necessary
  • Knowledge of database, spreadsheet, and word processing (Microsoft Office) is required

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree
  • Five years of experience in a private institution with diversity/multicultural affairs or college admissions
  • Knowledge of engineering
  • Experience with various types of social media
