About The Position
This is a FT Day shift in the ER at Thomas Hospital. The hours are 6A-6P with rotating weekends and holidays.
Requirements
- High School graduate or GED equivalent
- Excellent communication and keyboarding skills
Nice To Haves
- Knowledge of medical terminology and diagnostic procedures
- Knowledge of insurance certification requirements
- Working knowledge of healthcare registration procedures
Responsibilities
- Communicates with customers and/or health care professionals to gather personal, demographic, financial, insurance and equipment information required to complete registration for outpatient, inpatient or equipment services, medical records, and insurance certification, verification, and billing/claim submission.
