About The Position

The Admissions & Marketing Director is responsible for managing all admissions processes, building and sustaining referral relationships, and developing marketing strategies that support census growth and reputation enhancement. This role is key in ensuring a seamless transition for new residents and strengthening our presence in the local healthcare community.

Requirements

  • Prior experience in a similar admissions and/or healthcare marketing role required, preferably in skilled nursing or post-acute care.
  • Strong understanding of admissions processes, payer sources, and referral coordination.
  • Proven ability to develop referral relationships and meet census goals.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, Managed Care, and insurance authorization processes is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and manage the full admissions process from inquiry through placement.
  • Review referrals, assess clinical appropriateness, and collaborate with nursing/clinical teams.
  • Ensure accurate documentation and compliance with facility and payer requirements.
  • Communicate effectively with residents, families, and referral sources to ensure a smooth transition.
  • Develop and execute marketing and outreach plans to support census growth.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with hospitals, case managers, discharge planners, physicians, and community partners.
  • Regularly visit referral partners and represent the facility in the community.
  • Track referral trends, monitor conversion rates, and prepare reports and growth strategies.
  • Work closely with facility leadership to ensure service quality supports marketing efforts.
  • Respond quickly to inquiries and follow up with referral sources and families.
  • Serve as a facility ambassador—ensuring consistent, professional communication and follow-through.
