About The Position

Tabor Hills Senior Living Campus, a not-for-profit community located in Naperville, IL, has been dedicated to caring for our senior population for over 130 years. Tabor Hills Senior Living offers an Independent Living Community, Supportive Living Community, and a Skilled Nursing Facility. We have a rare opportunity for an Administrator to join our team at our Skilled Nursing Facility. The purpose of this position is to establish and maintain systems that are effective and efficient to operate the facility in a manner to safely meet resident needs in compliance with federal, state and local requirements

Requirements

Licensed Nursing Home Administrator's license in the State of Illinois required.
Prior experience, particularly in healthcare facility.
Familiarity with long-term care services is useful.
Must be capable of executing all terms and conditions set forth in the Employee Handbook, including, but not limited to: Work in a safety conscious manner, which ensures that safe work practices are used in order not to pose a risk to others in the workplace. Complies with company policies and procedures and local, state, and federal regulations. Maintain confidentiality of necessary information upholding policies of HIPAA. Adhere to policy on Drug Free Workplace. Interact in a tactful, diplomatic, and humanistic manner with residents, families, visitors, and co-workers to provide a safe, efficient, and therapeutically effective caring environment which ensures the self-respect, personal dignity, rights, and physical safety of each resident and facility guest. Maintain a dependable attendance record and adheres to standards of cleanliness, grooming; hygiene, and dress code.
Work is primarily sedentary in nature, with lifting up to 20 pounds maximum. Mobility essential, walking, standing, sitting, talking, hearing.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor’s degree in Management/Healthcare discipline preferred.

Responsibilities

Perform annual performance reviews on direct reports.
Coordinate Resident Abuse Prohibition Program.
Set up priorities and guidelines of workload for the purpose of maintaining an efficient and expedient workflow in the facility.
Discuss changes of any policy prior to implementation to ensure coordination in the Healthcare Facility.
Maintain all Policy and Procedures books for the facility and various government agencies.
Ensure compliance with all IDPH rules/regulations for the Healthcare Facility.
Maintain inspection reports of government agencies and follow up with Plan of Correction, as necessary for Evidence of Correction.
Maintain and ensure compliance of Corporate Compliance Program within the Healthcare Facility.
Report significant occurrences to Corporate Compliance Officer.
Conduct weekly staff meetings and attend bi-monthly Quality Assurance committee meetings as required.
Respond to all state surveys in a timely fashion.
Perform as liaison between IDPH surveyors and facility.
Assume responsibility with department supervisors to implement effective policies to ensure adequate staffing to meet facility needs.
Arbitrate complaints and disputes concerning residents, families, or personnel.
Identify times when notification of CEO is necessary.
Available during off hours/Holidays/weekends to respond to staff issues, IDPH surveys and any emergencies that may arise.
Discuss recommendations of facility committees/consultants with Chief Executive Officer.
Act as liaison between the facility and all resident advocacy agencies.
Instruct new staff on the facility’s Resident Abuse Policies as part of the orientation program.
Perform In-Services on the Resident Abuse Policies.
Maintain public relations within and outside of the facility for the Good of the Home.
Develop and maintain one-to-one relationship with residents and families.
Maintain satisfaction level of the residents and their families.
Notification of any significant event to the CEO.
Perform other related duties as directed by the CEO.
