About The Position

The Administrator Procurement is responsible for monitoring inventory levels, placing and confirming material orders, and ensuring timely delivery of materials to support production needs. This role works closely with suppliers, scheduling, warehouse, and production teams to ensure materials are available, properly rotated, and used efficiently to minimize waste and prevent shortages or expirations.

Requirements

  • Education: High School diploma, GED or equivalent
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with suppliers and internal teams.
  • Proficiency in basic computer systems.
  • Strong attention to detail and follow-through
  • Must not have 4 or more attendance points for locations on an 8 point policy (on application date)
  • No written warning in the past six (6) months
  • No suspension on record for the last 12 months
  • Internal applicants should either upload a resume to their application on Workday OR complete their application fully showing current and past work experience OR make sure their Career Profile in Workday is up to date and complete.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in materials planning, inventory control, or purchasing support
  • Experience working with suppliers and order tracking
  • SAP system experience
  • Knowledge of FIFO, shelf-life management, and inventory best practices

Responsibilities

  • Monitor inventory levels to ensure adequate materials are available to support production schedules
  • Place material orders as needed and confirm order details with suppliers
  • Track open orders and follow up with suppliers to ensure on-time delivery
  • Communicate delivery issues, shortages, or delays to scheduling and leadership
  • Monitor material shelf life and expiration dates; proactively identify at-risk inventory
  • Partner with scheduling and production teams to adjust production plans to ensure materials are used before expiration
  • Ensure FIFO (First In, First Out) inventory practices are followed across storage and production areas
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies, shortages, or overages
  • Maintain accurate inventory records in ERP or inventory management systems
  • Support inventory audits, cycle counts, and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Additional duties as assigned
