About The Position
Avalon Care Center Federal Way is hiring for an Administrator in Training (AIT)! Join our team to gain hands-on leadership experience in skilled nursing and grow our health care career. Skilled nursing experience, and leadership experience are a plus! WAGE IS $78,000 - $85,000/YR The Administrator in Training (AIT) is responsible for learning and developing the skills necessary to become a licensed nursing home administrator. The AIT will work closely with the current administrator and other members of the management team to gain experience in all aspects of running a skilled nursing facility. Full-time are eligible for: 401K Medical, Dental & Vision FSA & Dependent Care FSA Life Insurance AD&D, Long Term Disability, Short Term Disability Critical Illness, Accident, Hospital Indemnity Legal Benefits, Identity Theft Protection Pet Insurance and Auto/Home Insurance.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration or related field
- Experience working in a skilled nursing facility preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to learn and understand state and federal regulations related to skilled nursing facilities
- Ability to work flexible hours as needed

Responsibilities
- Assist with the day-to-day operations of the facility
- Learn and understand state and federal regulations related to skilled nursing facilities
- Assist with the development and implementation of policies and procedures
- Participate in staff meetings and training sessions
- Assist with the hiring and training of new staff members
- Assist with the management of resident care and services
- Assist with the management of the facility's budget and financial operations
- Assist with the management of the facility's physical plant and equipment
- Assist with the management of the facility's marketing and public relations efforts
