About The Position

The Mfg. Training Administrator is the primary contact for training needs and questions onsite at our Lawrence, MA and Lowell, MA locations. This position will spend approximately 50% of their time at each location. The Mfg. Training Administrator will utilize training guidelines and manufacturing specs to support Microchip’s documented training processes. This includes documenting and tracking all training, tracking and recording significant behavioral changes, assisting with audits, developing and facilitating manufacturing-related classes, providing quality training sessions and working with all functional areas and teams to remove training barriers. While most work supports the production/manufacturing group, this position will also support all groups and teams on site as needed.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 3+ years of experience in a training administration/support role
  • Learning Management Systems knowledge
  • Advanced Excel including macros, pivot tables and other charting/reporting functions
  • Self-directed, responsible, and works well with a remote manager
  • Works effectively within a team environment
  • Organizational skills
  • Highly observant and detail oriented
  • Customer service skills
  • Ability to correctly track training needs and completions by audience
  • Ability to identify need, establish, and maintain processes and/or systems
  • Travel between the two locations regularly to meet customer needs
  • This job requires access to technology, materials, software or hardware that is controlled by the export laws of the United States. Candidates are required to provide proof of either US citizenship, Permanent US residency or classification as a protected individual as defined in 8 USC 1324b (a) (3). This position is not eligible for Microchip immigration sponsorship.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with quality standards such as AS 9100, IATF 16949
  • Familiarity with soldering certifications such as IPC-A-610, J-STD-001, IPC/WHMA-A-620
  • Simple database creation/maintenance
  • Content development capabilities

Responsibilities

  • Participate in the new hire onboarding process by facilitating training related information and validating corporate and site-specific learning plans are assigned to new hires
  • Enter or update needed records in the Learning Management System (Microchip Learning Center)
  • Track training assignment completions / run reports
  • Organize and assign site specific annual compliance training
  • Support/maintain quality and/or customer related training needs and records
  • Schedule/support site specific learning topics
  • Establish and maintain an audit (certification) and recertification process for process/procedure/tool training
