About The Position

Harkcon is seeking an Administrative Support Specialist to support a federal program office in Washington, DC. This onsite role provides high-level administrative and operational support in a secure environment, including calendar and meeting coordination, correspondence management, records support, visitor access, and office operations. The role also supports domestic and foreign travel processing, including authorizations, vouchers, passports, visas, country clearances, and travel tracking. Duties include handling classified and unclassified materials, maintaining document control and records systems, supporting mail and correspondence workflows, and coordinating with internal and external stakeholders across government offices. Additional duties include performing periodic secure-area escort support for uncleared personnel and service providers, requiring routine mobility throughout the facility, including stairs, as part of a rotating team coverage schedule. Our workers are "part of the team" and expected to function as such within the client's environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 3+ years of administrative support experience
  • Active DOE Q clearance or active DoD Top Secret clearance
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills
  • Experience supporting senior staff in a fast-paced, highly regulated environment
  • Strong organizational, communication, and document management skills
  • Ability to work onsite in Washington, DC

  • Experience supporting DOE, NNSA, DoD, or other federal agencies
  • Experience with travel coordination, records management, correspondence control, or classified document handling
