About The Position

Provides administrative support for the pharmacy management team under the supervision of the Financial Coordinator.

  • Associates degree (AA) or equivalent from two year college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret medical/business periodicals, professional journals. Ability to write reports and correspondence. Ability to present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, etc.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.

Responsibilities

  • Provides administrative support for the pharmacy office. Greets visitors and staff, provides information, answers main phone, initiates work orders, and distributes mail.
  • Provides monthly student orientation
  • Coordinates, plans, organizes and prepares for meetings, presentations, luncheons, and travel for the pharmacy management staff
  • Assists with the day-to-day coordination of special projects such as departmental renovations, office relocations, general work orders, and special purchases as needed under the direction of the Financial Coordinator
  • Coordinates orders for printed materials and office supplies. Prepares records for storage.
  • Assists Financial Coordinator with contract set up and management for Inpatient and Outpatient Pharmacies
  • Maintains monthly Nursing Unit Inspection Logs and departmental staff state licensure verifications
  • Prepares exempt payroll, extra service pay, student pay, and maintains leave balance records
  • Assists with preparing monthly interdepartmental and outside entity billing for the controller's office
  • Prepares purchase orders, travel and petty cash reimbursements
  • Other duties as assigned.
