About The Position

We’re seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Administrative Support Associate to join our team with a start date of July 6, 2026. This is a fully remote, asynchronous teaching role that provides critical frontline support to the administrative operations of MOAO. This role is responsible for responding to student and parent inquiries through email and phone communication, and contributing to a range of administrative and project-based tasks that support school operations, student engagement, and the overall experience of MOAO families. This position will also be very involved in compliance and Education Management Information System (EMIS) state reporting. This position reports to the School Leader, supporting and executing tasks across enrollment, internal systems, and communication platforms as needed. The Associate also contributes to academic calendar management and plays a key role in fostering a responsive, caring culture for all MOAO stakeholders.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in administrative or customer service settings in a customer-facing role
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
  • Empathy, patience, and a student-centered mindset
  • Comfort with cloud-based tools (e.g., Google Workspace, ticketing systems)

  • All MOAO staff are considered mandated reporters and are required to respond to student safety and mental health concerns in accordance with the MOAO Crisis Response protocols. This includes participating in required training and, when appropriate, administering the Columbia Suicide Severity Rating Scale (C-SSRS) and following all documentation and escalation procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Resolve concerns promptly, or triage and escalate issues to appropriate departments or staff as needed, ensuring timely resolution.
  • Maintain excellent record-keeping in all systems, ensuring students, parents, and staff have correct information as it is needed.
  • Ensure accuracy of data reporting through DASL and EMIS
  • Assist with administrative tasks related to enrollment and academic status in coordination with the academic counselors, teachers, and other staff.
  • Maintain and update the academic and club calendar
  • Support and occasionally lead special projects aligned with the administrative needs of the school (e.g., surveys, audits, internal documentation, family communication, data analysis).
  • Proactively identify opportunities to improve administrative systems and support services.
  • Contribute to a collaborative culture that values communication, flexibility, and support for student success.
