About The Position

Presbyterian is seeking an Administrative Staff Support for Cardiac Rehab to perform a variety of clerical support services for the efficient operations of a designated department. This is a Per Required Need position - Exempt: No Job is based at Presbyterian Healthplex Work hours: Days

Requirements

  • High school plus specialized, short-term training in secretarial skills, ability to type 45 wpm, word processor skills.
  • Good grammar and communication skills. Knowledge of office equipment.
  • Less than one year office experience in a customer service or medical office
  • High School Diploma or GED

Responsibilities

  • Obtains all information necessary for admission and discharge of patients, including information to ensure payment to Presbyterian Hospital.
  • Responsible for retrieving all medical records including pathology reports, x-ray reports, and all outside reports from referring physicians.
  • Answers all calls promptly and courteously, taking accurate messages and delivering them in a timely manner.
  • Provides back up for all patient charges and insurance verification/processing.
  • Prepares daily treatment, doctor, and simulator schedules and distributes in a timely manner.
