About The Position

Overview Presbyterian is seeking an Administrative Staff Support for Cardiac Rehab to p erform a variety of clerical support services for the efficient operations of a designated department. This is a Per Required Need position - Exempt: No Job is based at Presbyterian Healthplex Work hours: Days Qualifications High school plus specialized, short-term training in secretarial skills, ability to type 45 wpm, word processor skills. Good grammar and communication skills. Knowledge of office equipment. Less than one year office experience in a customer service or medical office Education Essential: High School Diploma or GED Responsibilities Obtains all information necessary for admission and discharge of patients, including information to ensure payment to Presbyterian Hospital. Responsible for retrieving all medical records including pathology reports, x-ray reports, and all outside reports from referring physicians. Answers all calls promptly and courteously, taking accurate messages and delivering them in a timely manner. Provides backup for all patient charges and insurance verification/processing. Prepares daily treatment, doctor, and simulator schedules and distributes in a timely manner.
