This position will provide administrative support to the Division of Urology. This position will provide administrative support, usually of a confidential or complex nature. Duties go beyond those of an Administrative Assistant in areas such as establishing office procedures and budget monitoring. This position will assist with maintaining schedules, communications with patients and providers, arrange meetings and travel arrangements, making patient appointments, obtaining medical records, and general office organization. Will also assist the team to processes new patient referrals within designated timeframes Specific duties often include analyzing unit operating practices in a variety of areas to establish or revise office procedures; coordination, collection, and preparation of operating and other reports; general coordination of office resources; and budget monitoring and control. Also serves as backup for secretarial and administrative support positions. Frequently supervises or directs support staff.
