About The Position

The Administration Specialist at Lake Cumberland State Resort Park provides professional support in the review, evaluation, development, and implementation of the agency's activities. This position serves as a key resource for administrative operations across multiple departments and performs other duties as required.

Requirements

  • EDUCATION: Graduate of a college or university with a bachelor's degree.
  • EXPERIENCE, TRAINING, OR SKILLS: One year of professional, administrative, or business experience.
  • Substitute EDUCATION for EXPERIENCE: Additional education will substitute for the required experience on a year-for-year basis.
  • Substitute EXPERIENCE for EDUCATION: Additional administrative, business, research, and/or clerical experience will substitute for the required education on a year-for-year basis.
  • SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS (AGE, LICENSURE, REGULATION, ETC.): NONE

Responsibilities

  • Ensure established parks procedures are followed as they pertain to purchasing, inventory, pricing, and marketing of resale items and the handling of cash and charge transactions.
  • Conduct business with company sales representatives and individuals as necessary to purchase sellable merchandise.
  • Maintain shop appearance through proper display of merchandise and appropriate housekeeping standards.
  • Prepare payroll records for all departments, prepare payroll worksheets, and process payroll information in KHRIS.
  • Prepare temporary staff payroll on a weekly basis and submit via designated link for supervisor’s approval.
  • Enter Purchase Orders and attach required documentation for appropriate approval.
  • Create PRC documents for approval and payment processing.
  • Prepare and process Daily Business Reports, JV2P documents and sales logs on a daily basis.
  • Count, verify, and balance receipts, including bank deposits, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Produce Inventory and Daily Business Report copies with appropriate documentation for submission to Central Office.
  • Train, schedule, assign, and oversee the work of shop employees to ensure efficient and professional operations.
  • Perform duties of clerk/cashier as necessary to support staffing needs.
