The School of Nursing is seeking to hire an Administrative Specialist III. As an Administrative Specialist III, you will serve as a critical link between the School of Nursing and the Office of Academic Assistance, supporting the RN-BS/LPN-RN Program and the Undergraduate Program. Your responsibilities will include managing admissions, coordinating orientation, facilitating stakeholder communication for the RN-BS/LPN-RN Program, and providing event management support for the Undergraduate Program. In the Undergraduate Program, you will lead the planning, coordination, and execution of key events such as the Pinning Ceremony and New Student Orientation, while also providing comprehensive administrative support for student progress, meetings, and program reports.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and four years of administrative experience; or a high school diploma or GED and eight years of administrative experience; or a combination of education and related experience.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary liaison between the School of Nursing and the Office of Academic Assistance (OAA), overseeing acceptance and denial processes and ensuring effective communication.
  • Manage acceptance and denial letters, coordinate New Student Orientation, and oversee student file organization and course registration authorization.
  • Attend program meetings, record minutes, and maintain ongoing communication with students, OAA, and program directors.
  • Take charge of planning, coordinating, and executing key events, including the Pinning Ceremony and New Student Orientation, ensuring successful collaboration with stakeholders, vendors, and presenters.
  • Oversee all aspects of event logistics, including scheduling, venue coordination, guest lists, and communication with students and faculty.
  • Provide comprehensive administrative support, including composing meeting minutes, completing program surveys, managing graduation processes, reporting on program progression, maintaining contact information, designing the iCollege web presence, assisting with curriculum planning, and tracking student placements.
  • Work closely with faculty and staff to ensure seamless coordination of student progress reporting and academic milestones, including progress evaluations and advising.
