About The Position

PURPOSE: The Project Manager will provide leadership and oversight in University Housing at DBU for students in the Residence Halls on campus to ensure clear communication throughout the year. GENERAL OBJECTIVES: Supervision and Oversight with administrative office tasks Upkeep of Residence Hall facility Student Discipline, Retention, Safety and Counseling Develop/Evaluate Residence Life Programming

Requirements

  • The Administrative Project Manager should be a Christian and have a desire to mentor college students.
  • Must be a Christian who is a member of a church that holds Jesus Christ to be their Savior and Lord, and who holds solely the Old Testament and the New Testament as sacred Scriptures.
  • DBU requires employees to follow all University policies and procedures, which exist to support the Christian mission of DBU and includes, but is not limited to, a Christian Code of Conduct.

  • A bachelor's degree is preferred, but in-progress will be accepted.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the liaison formally and informally with other departments in Student Affairs.
  • Manage budgets by preparing and carefully recording all expenditures and expenses for the Resident Halls.
  • Maintain scheduling of events and represent Housing when needed.
  • Improve operational management systems, processes, and best practices.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Director of University Housing and VP of Student Affairs.
  • Manage room assignments, process room requests and maintain housing charts.
  • Utilize StarRez to maintain student housing records.
  • Facilitate any needed updates through the StarRez application for the upcoming school years for the Resident Halls and Upperclassman.
  • Supervise and manage resident check-in and check-out system.
  • Maintain Residence Hall key system.
  • Attend weekly staff meetings and student retention meetings.
  • Serve on committees as assigned; provide tours of facilities to prospective students and/or their parents.
  • Facilitate any needed updates through the StarRez application for the upcoming school years for the Residence Halls and Upperclassman Housing.
  • Serve as the liaison formally and informally with other departments in Student Affairs, such as Athletics, International Department, etc.
  • Coordinate and maintain proper room inventories.
  • Maintain appearance of Residence Halls.
  • Communicate Residence Hall maintenance requests and urgent needs to Physical Operations.
