What We Need YOU To Do: Ohio EPA wants you to join our team as an administrative professional with the Division of Materials and Waste Management (DMWM) at our Central Office in Franklin County. In this role, you’ll handle a variety of administrative tasks to keep things organized and working at peak efficiency for an office that oversees activity at hundreds of landfills and waste management facilities throughout Central Ohio. You’ll maintain and organize division files, track fee payments through the agency’s financial database, and enter data into our compliance module and project tracker systems. We’ll rely on your attention to detail to coordinate purchases and billing for the division and keep the supply inventory stocked. This position supports other administrative team members, and assists with research, nontechnical inquiries, and compiling files for public record requests. Requirements

  • 18 mos. exp. or 18 mos. trg. in secretarial/administrative professional field.
  • OR completion of associate core coursework in secretarial science or business office applications from accredited career school or community college.
  • OR 6 mos. exp. as Administrative Professional 1, 16871.
  • OR equivalent of Minimum Class Qualifications For Employment noted above.
  • All answers to supplemental questions must be supported by the work experience/education provided on your application.
  • Official educational transcripts are required for post-high school educational accomplishments, coursework or degrees claimed on the application.
  • Applicants will be required to submit an official transcript if they are selected for the position.
  • Current Ohio EPA employees may be required to provide official educational transcripts.
