We value competent, skilled candidates with a customer service focus to work in a team environment. The Administrative Officer works in Charlotte Water’s System Protection Division. This position administers the billing operations of the Industrial Pretreatment Program, the Commercial Source Program and the Septage Program. These three programs regulate approximately 60 large industrial customers, 5,000 food service establishments and 30 Septage Pumper/Haulers of the City of Charlotte. This position directly impacts the overall revenue of Charlotte Water. The Administrative Officer position will also be responsible for procurement and P-Card reconciliation. Daily interaction is required with laboratory, treatment plant, industry personnel, regulatory, legal and research personnel as well as the public. Numerous special projects related to water and sewer rates, pretreatment, collection systems, new regulations, and other pertinent topics are assigned to and completed by the Administrative Officer.
