About The Position

Substitutes as office support for the school and performs administrative office support work, general office assistance functions and related work as required. Works cooperatively with district and school building personnel.

Requirements

  • High School Graduate
  • Minimum of two years’ general office experience highly preferred
  • Experience with office technology and equipment, specifically database, spreadsheet, and word processing preferred
  • Must be able to work well with the public, staff and students with a variety of backgrounds
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Good customer service skills in dealing with the public and staff effectively
  • Must be able perform work quickly, efficiently and accurately
  • Good abilities with office practices, procedures and office equipment
  • Good basic skills in oral and written communication
  • Must be a strong team player, able to collaborate well with others
  • Basic computer competence including standard office software (ex. Word and Excel) and data entry in database
  • Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Superintendent may find appropriate and acceptable

Nice To Haves

  • Bilingual (Spanish or Portuguese) highly preferred

Responsibilities

  • Answering the telephone and respond to parent, student and staff requests
  • Manage electronic coorespondence
  • Process paperwork
  • Answering communications and correspondence
  • Filing
  • Distribute mail
  • Order supplies and materials
  • Assist with tracking information
  • Process student absences
  • Assist with lists and data entry for substitute coverage
  • Maintain accurate student files and records
  • Process all appropriate paperwork for admissions and transfers of students
  • Other administrative support tasks as assigned by the Principal/Assistant Principal/Director/Educational Team Leader
