We are looking for a skilled, detail oriented, Registered Nurse with leadership experience to serve as an Administrative Nurse. In this supervisory role, you will be an integral part of our Behavioral Health Division and provide critical oversight and support for nursing services at the Norfolk Regional Center. Requirements

  • A current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in Nebraska or authority based on the Nurse Licensure Compact to practice as a Registered nurse in Nebraska and one year of relevant experience.
  • Highly organized, good communication, leadership skills, and time management skills.
  • Works well with others utilizing a team concept.

Nice To Haves

  • Behavioral Health experience is preferred.
  • Supervisory and/or leadership experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a competent, professional, and empathetic role model and leader.
  • Participate in Nursing and/or NRC facility meetings to promote teamwork and provide effective communications with other disciplines and assigned staff.
  • Complete performance evaluations, goal setting, competency, and disciplinary processes with assigned staff.
  • Participate in the Treatment Team process utilizing a holistic approach with the patients and oversee timely completion of treatment plans.
  • Serve as Case Manager and House Supervisor and may serve as the Acting Director of Nursing in their absence.
  • Ensure documentation by nursing staff meets accrediting agencies’ standards.
  • Participate in processes to meet the Federal Regulation Standards.
  • Participate in performance improvement activities and encourage assigned staff to be involved in performance improvement work teams.
  • Investigate assigned employee alleged work rule violations; initiate appropriate disciplinary action based on findings from employee investigations.
  • Participate in Nursing/Hospital Committees or ensure ward representation is appointed to attend.
  • Provide Nursing Administration with requested information quickly, succinctly, and completely.
  • Maintain confidentiality of patient, employee, and/or other hospital information.
