A day in the life of an Administrative Medical Assistant As an Administrative Medical Assistant, you provide support to the staff of Health Services who work with the Residential/Clinical Services, and/or Caminos programs. You will provide a significant role in coordinating efforts between both departments, and you will closely monitor and follow Federal guidelines. Your primary responsibility will be to schedule medical appointments and obtain authorization for such. It will be essential for you to maintain medical files for all clients in your assigned program. You will also do non-clerical tasks, such as passing medications, updating medication records with medication changes, performing covid-19 rapid testing, and completing vitals. Kind and understanding, you make sure that people are always comfortable enough to openly communicate with you. You are always patient and willing to listen.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • At least 21 years of age
  • Valid Illinois driver's license
  • Kind, patient, and professional
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Actively listen to others
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and reliable

Nice To Haves

  • Having fluency in speaking, reading, and writing in both English and Spanish would be beneficial

Responsibilities
