About The Position

Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking a Administrative Coordinator for NJMS - Medicine – Medicine Cardiology. This position will oversee the day-to-day operations of the assigned Division(s) within the Department of Medicine. The Administrative Coordinator is responsible for providing administrative support to the Division Director, Program Administrator, and faculty. New Jersey’s academic health center, Rutgers Biomedical and Health Sciences ( RBHS ) takes an integrated approach to educating students, providing clinical care, and conducting research, all with the goal of improving human health. Aligned with Rutgers University–New Brunswick and collaborating university wide, RBHS includes eight schools, a behavioral health network, and five centers and institutes that focus on cancer treatment and research, neuroscience, advanced biotechnology and medicine, environmental and occupational health, and health care policy and aging research. Responsibilities

  • Acts as point of reference for faculty recruitment, which includes collecting applications, scheduling interviews, preparing itineraries, and maintain confidential files.
  • Provides administrative support to the Division Director, Program Administrator, and Faculty.
  • As applicable, acts as a point of reference for staff Human Resource related matters, which may include staff recruitment efforts, as needed.
  • Responsible for personnel matters for the department/division; maintains time and attendance records, ensures timely completion of forms for Human Resources, Payroll, etc.
  • Acts as principal liaison with various administrative departments and units of the University.
