Reporting to the Director and 504 Coordinator, this position provides advanced administrative assistance that supports daily operations, enhances service delivery, and helps create a welcoming environment where students can thrive. The Administrative Coordinator also serves as a designated Campus Security Authority (CSA). This is an on‑site position located on Tarleton’s main campus in Stephenville, Texas, with standard work hours of Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m., and occasional evening or weekend support during peak periods such as the start of each semester or major university events.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Two years of related experience.
  • Outstanding customer service skills and ability to work collaboratively and harmoniously with individuals with varying backgrounds, abilities, and experiences.
  • Knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, and database applications.
  • Excellent written communication, analytical, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, student-centered.
  • Ability to work with sensitive information and maintain confidentiality.
  • Ability to work independently once given a project.

Nice To Haves

  • Five years of related experience in general office or clerical work.
  • Spanish language fluency an asset; preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Administrative Support: Provides direct administrative assistant support for the Director of Accessibility Services
  • Serves as the front office manager for the office Accessibility Services
  • Serves as an administrative resource for students submitting confidential health data (HIPAA compliance associated) and needing resources for sensitive areas such as accommodations
  • Provides support to the office staff on administrative procedure rules and guidelines
  • Responds to inquiries from university faculty, staff, and students about Accessibility Services
  • Monitor the offices' compliance with TAMU rules and regulations
  • Work with various fiscal, administrative, and other records as needed
  • Office Support: Handle all incoming calls and direct each student to the appropriate person
  • Responsible for keeping students current
  • Maintain calendars, schedule appointments/meetings for assigned director and assists with calendars and events
  • Schedule and complete travel and fiscal reports as required
  • Manage department inventory, office supplies, and equipment needs for areas
  • Coordinate/distribute branding, publicity, marketing, and communications for various events/needs.
  • Work proficiently in Workday, Concur, Canopy, and Banner as needed/required, as well as other University software as assigned.
  • Supervise/manage student employees as assigned or warranted.
  • Other duties as assigned
