The School of Medicine ( SOM ) Dean’s Office Finance Unit serves as a centralized financial resource for 23 academic departments and provides financial operational support for more than 15 Dean’s Office units. The Administrative Assistant is the first line of contact for SOM Dean’s Finance customers. Providing excellent customer service and office support is a major role of the position. In addition, the Administrative Assistant will be a key contact for purchasing-related questions and will be a purchaser for the SOM Dean’s Office. The position also helps maintain the collection, compilation, and data input of SOM Dean’s Office financial transactions, supports scheduling, and the SOM budget process, and helps manage the collection, primary review, and document flow for SOM department documents.
