Join our nationwide multidisciplinary team of providers! Position Summary We are looking for a PT admin assistant to work Tuesdays and Thursdays in our clinic in Hamilton, NJ. This position is part of the VBA MDE (Veterans Benefits Administration Medical Disabilities Examinations) program. The Vendor schedules Veterans at contracted clinical facilities and embeds practitioners in facilities as needs warrant. Dedicated facilities are located in areas where there is a large Veteran population with the potential for high volume.
Requirements
- College education, high school diploma, or equivalent.
- Minimum of one-year experience in an outpatient medical clinic or hospital, medical office setting
- Minimum of one-year experience in an outpatient medical clinic or hospital, medical office setting
- Strong organizational skills
- Customer service oriented
- Friendly, team-player
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, independent environment
- Attendance and punctuality is necessary.
- Ability to work well with a multidisciplinary team as well as problem solve, and be self-motivated are also required.
- Must have excellent written and oral skills, strong organizational, problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Expected to have strong interpersonal skills and have the ability to understand and follow written/verbal instructions.
- Able to work independently with little or no supervision.
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience in healthcare administration or other related fields preferred
- Previous front desk management or administrative assistant experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Greet the Veterans and show them to the exam room
- Report any no-shows to client
- Keep the facility tidy
- Obtain ancillary results from the practitioners
- Track completed and pending exams to ensure they are submitted within 1 business day via the Provider Portal
