City of Newnan Fire Department Part-time Administrative Assistant Come join our team! Summary: Under the moderate supervision of the assigned department supervisor, performs intermediate skilled administrative support work providing administrative support to department staff, receiving and processing incoming calls and visitors, preparing and maintaining records and files, typing a variety of documents, preparing reports, and related work as apparent or assigned.

Requirements

  • Requires successful completion of criminal background check, motor vehicle history, blood alcohol test, and drug screen.

Responsibilities

  • Enters payroll hours biweekly.
  • Submits monthly Nfirs reports.
  • Codes invoices and Pcard receipts with appropriate G/L account.
  • Maintains employee training files.
  • Responds to questions from public.
  • Receives, sorts, processes and distributes incoming and outgoing mail; assists with large mailings.
  • Operates a variety of standard office equipment.
  • Performs specialized departmental tasks and duties as assigned.
