About The Position

Administrative Assistant to the Early Elementary Head Early Elementary Division Position Overview The Administrative Assistant works closely with the EED Head to provide administrative support for Early Learning Division Head as well as providing support to faculty members. The Administrative Assistant also works with the parents, administrative staff, faculty, and students in a variety of roles. This is a salaried non-exempt position, eligible for overtime under the Fair Labor Standards Act.

Requirements

  • College Degree
  • Minimum 1 year customer service experience
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, parents, faculty/staff, and the general public
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
  • Able to work with minimum supervision
  • Able to multitask
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)

Responsibilities

  • Assist EED Head in daily operations of the division and long-term projects
  • Schedule regular meetings for the EED Head
  • Maintains the Division Head’s calendar
  • Maintains students’ permanent files
  • Coordinates interviews, tours, and travel arrangements for EED faculty applicants
  • Coordinates yearly speech, hearing, and vision screenings
  • Prepares mailings and flyers for EED
  • Assists with support duties for the school. Examples would be assistance with Front Desk Coverage and supporting the overall effective operations of the school.
  • Retrieves and escorts students to/from the classroom/Front Desk when requested by the Front Desk.
  • Engages with children ages 3 years old through first grade.
  • Other duties as assigned
