About The Position

The Administrative Assistant I provides administrative support to the Office of the General Counsel's Service of Process Unit and works under the direction of the lead administrative assistant for the work unit and the Agency Clerk for the agency.

  • Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Must have a minimum of one year administrative, clerical, or legal secretarial experience.

Responsibilities

  • Prepares and serves administrative complaint packages through regular U.S. mail, certified mail and hand service related to licensed professional and/or unlicensed individual for 19 different professions regulated by the Department.
  • Prepares the administrative packets, emails, certified and regular U.S. mail receipts and labels with proficiency, timeliness, and accuracy.
  • Enters status codes and notes in Versa Regulation and OnBase case management systems.
  • Tracks and monitors the cases for transition to legal through the receipt of the executed election of rights form; returned certified and regular mail packages, emails, and the daily AC Mailed Follow-up Report.
  • Request hand-service when service of the administrative complaint by e-mail, regular U.S. mail and/or certified mail has been unsuccessful.
  • Responds verbally and in writing to inquiries from licensees, attorneys, investigators, and public concerning Department’s complaint resolution and service of process procedures.
