About The Position

The Sales Administrative Assistant will play a crucial role in supporting the sales team by reviewing electrical drawings, performing take-offs for lighting fixtures, and ensuring accurate and timely order entry and processing. The role requires effective communication with contractors, creating and reviewing lighting submittals, and maintaining up-to-date order status information.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in using computer software, including Bluebeam for reading blueprints, Excel, and PDF manipulation.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Strong data entry and order entry skills.
  • Ability to coordinate effectively with contractors and vendors.
  • 1-2 years of experience in retail, sales, or customer service.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Highly organized.
  • High School Diploma.
  • Open to motivated recent college graduates.

Responsibilities

  • Review electrical drawings to perform take-offs for lighting fixtures on projects.
  • Ensure orders are entered and processed in a timely manner.
  • Check the status of existing orders and backorders.
  • Maintain communication with contractors regarding the status of their existing orders.
  • Create and send lighting submittals to contractors for approval.
  • Review approved lighting submittals to ensure orders meet client expectations.
  • Communicate with vendors and contractors about stock status and ship dates.
