Tetra Tech is looking for a full-time Administrative Assistant and Word Processor based in Kansas City, MO office. The ideal candidate will have previous administrative and word processing experience. This role involves assisting with the daily operations of the office, supporting staff in satellite offices and word processing of reports to support project teams in producing high-quality deliverables. Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience with administrative roles and word processing
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Proficiency in Adobe Acrobat PDF
  • Attention to detail, strong communication, and organization is a must
  • Excellent customer service skills a must
  • Familiarity with MS Teams
  • Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of management and peers.
  • Capability to work under pressure and prioritize time effectively
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines while maintaining a high level of integrity and confidentiality especially matters concerning business and staff
  • Individual drive and initiative to maintain under minimal supervision
  • A professional disposition and a positive attitude
  • Flexible and able to immediately adapt to changing priorities
  • Able to work as a team player, be attentive to the needs of staff, work with specific deadlines, and be open to learning new skills as required
  • Must be highly motivated, customer focused, and work well in a team environment as well as independently
  • Must have the ability to manage a heavy workload and be willing to work overtime as needed

  • Associates or Bachelor's degree in English, communications, or a related field with a substantial writing component is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the front reception desk, maintain office equipment, order supplies and other administrative functions throughout the office.
  • Coordinate preparation and organization of multiple documents and other deliverables according to internal and external client requirements and schedules.
  • Assist with the onboarding of new hires.
  • Assist with management of fleet of [12] vehicles.
  • Assist timesheet coordinators with coordination of weekly timesheet entry.
  • Format client report deliverables.
  • File and organize documents.
  • Collaborate with project teams to create accessible document templates and ensure adherence to project guidelines.
  • Use Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Suite, and other software to produce high-quality documents.
  • Adapt to various client style guides and familiarize with an internal Tetra Tech style guide.
  • Timesheet submission coordination.
  • Perform other administrative and cross-functional duties as assigned.
