About The Position

ACRS seeks a part-time Admin-FAC - Facilities Technician I who can perform a variety of routine building maintenance tasks that may include basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, mechanical or related Facilities work while maintaining a focus on the safety of ACRS staff, clients, and property. Provides security and custodial related duties. Schedule: Monday - Friday

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required, maintenance experience is a plus. Must be at least 18 years of age

  • Ability to communicate effectively (oral and written), follow instructions and procedures, and document maintenance or incident reports accurately.
  • Strong judgment, reliability, and professionalism in dealing with emergencies or unexpected facility needs.
  • Physical capacity to perform duties, including ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Must have reliable transportation. If using a personal or agency vehicle to fulfill job duties, must have a valid driver’s license and be insurable under ACRS’s auto policy. If using personal vehicle, must have current auto insurance.
  • Follows all agency policies and procedures as outlined in the Employee Handbook.

Responsibilities

  • Provides general support with room setup, minor repairs, equipment movement, and other routine facilities-related requests from staff, clients, and visitors, following established department procedures. Identifies and reports needed repairs and safety hazards to the Facilities Manager and assists in any necessary follow-up.
  • Performs basic building maintenance such as patching dry wall, touch-up painting, mounting paintings or signage. Provides routine preventive maintenance including changing lightbulbs and basic troubleshooting issues on kitchen appliances such as refrigerator, exhaust fans, and coolers. Performs plumbing system/fixtures including unclogging drains, rebuilding fixtures, installing faucets, and garbage disposal replacement.
  • Operates agency vehicles safely, transporting passengers or goods to designated locations, and adheres to traffic laws. Ensures the vehicle is in good working order, plans routes efficiently, and maintains a professional and friendly demeanor while interacting with clients or passengers. Refuels or charges agency vehicles and takes them to auto shops as needed.
  • Performs custodial duties such as building disinfection as needed. Supports facilities appearance through light landscaping tasks such as weeding, trimming, and general grounds upkeep.
  • Performs security patrols in building and throughout ACRS grounds and parking areas; Notifies Facilities Manager and possibly emergency services of any theft, sabotage, fire or accidents; locks and checks all doors and windows at closing; coordinates with local police, fire and emergency agencies until the Facilities Manager or Administrative Team Management arrives in case of emergency situations.
  • Reports to supervisor and writes reports on accidents, incidents, suspicious activities, safety hazards, and other safety and security issues. Immediately reports incidents to supervisor and responds safely.
  • Monitors electronic surveillance and alarm systems.
  • Attends all agency, program, and team meetings, in-service training, and supervision.

  • Pay range is between $26.03 to $28.32 per hour. Can increase based on experience.
