About The Position

ProFarm Group (PFG) is a subsidiary of Bioceres Crop Solutions, a global provider of biologically derived fertilizers, inoculants, crop traits, adjuvants, biostimulants and pesticides, serving the ever-expanding agricultural markets. PFG focuses on discovering, developing, and marketing nature-derived biostimulants, as well as pest management products from microbes and plant extracts for the effective control of invertebrate pests, weeds, and plant diseases. PFG is currently looking for an Administrative Assistant in Bangor, Michigan. The job purpose of Administrative Assistant is to plan, direct, or coordinate supportive services of an organization, such as record-keeping, mail distribution, telephone operator/receptionist, and other office support services.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in general administration
  • Knowledge of accounting, data and administrative management practices and procedures
  • Knowledge of clerical practices and procedures
  • Strong computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft office software packages (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)

Responsibilities

  • Maintains supplies inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed supplies; placing and expediting orders for supplies; verifying receipt of supplies.
  • Completes special projects by organizing and coordinating information and requirements; planning, arranging, and meeting schedules; and monitoring results.
  • Improves program and service quality by updating procedures and evaluating system results with users.
  • Create purchase orders and inventory reports
  • Work within the management team to ensure that all deliveries satisfy the assigned orders.
  • Keep an accurate and efficient monitoring system for open & closed PRS, POs, and Invoices.
  • Receive orders into SAP, and send receipts & packaging slips to Accounts Payable.
  • Keep an updated list of vendors with logins and contact information.
  • Manage inventory, including current stock and new deliveries when needed on certain items.
  • Keep track of gloves, hearing protection, and eye protection, and keep stock on the floor.
  • Maintain physical and digital filing systems for batch records.
  • Maintain Batch Record review for QA as well as corrections & rescans.
  • Input and update a wide variety of information in databases and spreadsheets.
  • Coordinate logistics for meetings, including room setup, cleaning, and catering pickups.
  • Operates and maintains office equipment, including printers, copiers, and fax machines.
  • Works with maintenance staff and outside vendors to ensure office equipment is in good working order and office supplies are always on hand.
  • Research as requested, compiles and summarizes information for management when needed.
  • Shipping and receiving samples, sample requests & handling order returns.
  • Assist with the implementation of sustainability, monitoring data, and helping to improve overall waste management processes.
  • 5S Committee
  • Upload and save new maintenance manuals and preventative maintenance sheets into the maintenance folder.
  • Send weekly meter readings.
  • Event planning committee, help organize & plan a variety of corporate/ company events
  • Bulletin board in break room for employee information
  • End of year filing old batch records and vendor receipts
  • Cross checking end of year EPA data
  • Scan in, save, and file weekly five-minute safety briefs.
