About The Position

Provide comprehensive administrative and clerical support to all mill departments, including management, with responsibilities spanning human resources, safety, accounting, maintenance, and environmental functions. The salary range for this position if $42,225.00 - $70,375.00 The compensation range represents the low and high end of the base compensation range for this position. Actual compensation will vary based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or G.E.D. required.
  • Minimum of 2-3 years clerical experience in general business administration preferred.
  • Intermediate proficiency in operation of all office equipment such as personal computer, copier, fax machine, scanner and basic office support software.
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Must be highly organized, able to multi-task, and be able to prioritize a heavy workload.
  • Strong attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy.
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills required.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate degree in office administration, business, human resources or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Manage incoming calls, visitors, and correspondence
  • Enter and reconcile logging tickets and load sheets
  • Prepare weekly settlements for loggers
  • Support all mill departments and leadership
  • Ensure compliance with company and legal record retention policies
  • Oversee office supplies
  • Organize mill events (meetings, trainings, etc.)
  • Handle mail distribution and mass mailings
  • Maintain professional competence and ethical standards
  • Maintain confidential HR files (personnel, benefits, medical, payroll)
  • Assist with benefits administration and employee support
  • Support recruitment, onboarding, and pre-employment processes
  • Provide back up for HR Manager
  • Assist with meeting preparation
  • Prepare and distribute daily production reports
  • Enter data and process paperwork accurately and promptly
  • Compile monthly statistics and support accounting
