About The Position

Adjunct Teaching position in Comparative Arts & Letters for ARTHC 111/201/202. Duties include preparing class lectures and presentations, administering quizzes and exams, consulting and advising students, holding office hours, and grading exams and papers. The position requires relocation and/or residence in Utah for the duration of employment. Requirements

  • MA required; PhD preferred. The required degree must be completed by the start date.
  • Teaching art history in a university setting.
  • Experience teaching Introduction to Art History (ARTHC 111).
  • Experience teaching Art History before 1500 (ARTHC 201), which includes a survey of Western civilization emphasizing the visual arts from ancient Greece to the Gothic period.
  • Experience teaching Art History since 1500 (ARTHC 202), which includes a survey of Western civilization emphasizing the visual arts from the Renaissance to the twentieth century.
  • This position requires the successful candidate to relocate and/or reside in Utah for the duration of their employment.
  • All new employees who are members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints will be required to hold and be worthy to hold a current temple recommend.
