About The Position

Adjunct Teaching Position in Comparative Arts & Letters, specifically for ARTHC 111/201/202. The courses include Introduction to Art History (ARTHC 111), Art History before 1500 (ARTHC 201), and Art History since 1500 (ARTHC 202). Responsibilities include preparing lectures, administering assessments, advising students, holding office hours, and grading.

Requirements

  • MA required; PhD preferred. The required degree must be completed by the start date.
  • Teaching art history in a university setting.
  • Experience teaching Introduction to Art History (ARTHC 111).
  • Experience teaching Art History before 1500 (ARTHC 201), which includes a s urvey of Western civilization emphasizing the visual arts from ancient Greece to the Gothic period.
  • Experience teaching Art History since 1500 (ARTHC 202), which includes a s urvey of Western civilization emphasizing the visual arts from the Renaissance to the twentieth century.
  • This position requires the successful candidate to relocate and/or reside in Utah for the duration of their employment.
  • All new employees who are members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints will be required to hold and be worthy to hold a current temple recommend.
