About The Position

From time to time the Undergraduate Department requires the services of a qualified person to serve in the role of adjunct. This position requires a person who is able to teach the full spectrum of content required to prepare Elementary certification students to successfully teach Social Studies to EC-6 students.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and present lessons based on the SBEC Standards and TEKS
• Follow the department syllabus for the designated course
• Manage classroom behavior
• Address student needs as needed
• Provide for opportunities for before or after class meeting times for students
• Adhere to the established class schedule and office hours.
• Submit contracts, book requests, syllabi, grades, evaluations, and other required paperwork and reports by due date.
• Other duties as assigned by the Chair and the Dean.
