About The Position

The Department of Health, Human Performance, & Physical Education is seeking energetic and engaging Adjunct Faculty members to teach Physical Education Courses to students. The incumbent will provide instruction in Physical Education Activity courses such as Beginning Tennis-Badminton, Fitness-Soccer, Fitness-Volleyball, Fitness-Golf, Fitness-Basketball, Intro to PE Activities, and Exercise & Conditioning, as well as the lecture course Health & Fitness for Life.

Requirements

The successful candidate must possess a minimum of a Master's Degree in Physical Education from a recognized college or university, plus one year of experience.
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication and presentation skills are required
The ability to establish a rapport with students and maintain an environment that supports learning and promotes student retention, is required.
All candidates must have evidence of responsiveness to and understanding of the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability, gender identity, sexual orientation, and ethnic backgrounds of community college students, as these factors relate to the need for equity-minded practice within the classroom.
