About The Position

Mills College at Northeastern University is seeking a part-time Adjunct Faculty member to teach a course in the Educational Leadership program on the Oakland campus in the Spring 2026 Semester academic term. Through its research, teaching, and engagement missions, the college collaborates across the university, the Northeastern network, and partners around the globe. Requirements

  • M.A. required
  • The courses will be taught in person on the Mills College at Northeastern campus in Oakland, California.

Nice To Haves

  • Ph.D.or A.B.D. or doctorate in education or related field preferred.
  • Preference will be given to those experienced in teaching in K-12 classrooms as well as large and diverse groups of students.

Responsibilities

  • developing assignments, assessments and a course schedule to meet required learning outcomes
  • developing a syllabus explicitly addressing credential standards
  • developing and delivering course content using the Mills College at Northeastern teaching and learning platforms and facilities
  • holding appropriate office hours
  • engaging with departmental and university part-time faculty obligations as required
