About The Position

The Morgridge College of Education is looking to hire adjunct instructors for the 2025-2026 academic year to teach a variety of graduate courses in the Educational Leadership and Policy Studies program. Courses may vary. More information about the courses can be found on the Registrar’s Office schedule of classes at https://www.du.edu/registrar/course/scheduleofclasses.html . This posting will serve for multiple openings throughout the 2025-2026 academic year.

Requirements

  • Master’s Degree or PhD/EdD depending on course level
  • Previous school leadership experience
  • Previous teaching experience

Nice To Haves

  • PhD or EdD
  • Successful teaching/facilitation experience with adults in graduate education programs.
  • Confidence in using online teaching platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Teach in person in a workshop format on Saturdays or online once a week (depending on course)
  • Support the teaching or courses in the Certificate, Master’s, or doctoral degree program
  • Collaborate with ELPS faculty to prepare course content
  • Maintain course Canvas container
  • Meet with students as needed
  • Assign papers, exams and other deliverables as appropriate
  • Grade in a timely manner
  • Participate in recruiting and informational events as needed
  • Coordinate student internship experience and meet with internship mentor and student once per quarter
  • Attend doctoral working groups as requested
