Adjunct faculty play a crucial role in delivering high-quality instruction while fostering student engagement in a supportive Christian learning environment. Teaching opportunities may be available in undergraduate and graduate programs and vary by department and semester. Requirements

  • A master's degree, or significant professional experience, in the relevant field.
  • A current teaching license.
  • Demonstrated expertise in subject matter and commitment to student learning.
  • Recent experience with the subject matter.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A commitment to integrating faith and learning within the academic discipline.
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States. This position does not offer visa sponsorship; therefore, only applicants who do not require sponsorship for employment visas, now or at any point in the future, should apply.
  • A commitment to the University's Theology of Racial and Ethnic Diversity.
  • A desire to work with a diverse community of students and employees who represent various cultures, backgrounds, abilities, ethnicities, political views, and expressions of Christian faith.

Responsibilities

  • Teach courses in alignment with the university's mission and learning objectives.
  • Develop and implement effective instructional strategies that promote student engagement.
  • Provide timely and constructive feedback on student work.
  • Maintain accurate records of attendance, grades, and student performance.
  • Utilize the university's learning management system (Canvas and Google Classroom) for course management.
  • Maintain professionalism and adhere to university policies.
  • Communicate effectively and courteously with others, including employees, students, and the public, in a spirit of teamwork, respect, and service.
  • Serve as a Christian role model to students, both inside and outside the classroom.
  • Demonstrated experience working cross culturally with respect, appreciation and humility.
