About The Position

The University of St. Thomas Chemistry Department invites applications for an adjunct faculty appointment, to teach one or more sections of chemistry lecture and/or lab courses. This posting is continuously open, and qualified applicants will be part of a pool of candidates for review biannually. The salary range for the College of Arts and Sciences Adjunct positions ranges from $5,994 to $6,717 (per 4 credit undergraduate course, 3 credit graduate course). Rate of pay is determined by academic credential and years of teaching experience. Teaching load generally ranges from one to two lectures or laboratory sections per semester, depending upon department needs and enrollments. Adjunct instructors will work under the guidance of a lead faculty mentor and should be dedicated to the instruction and development of undergraduate students. Requirements

  • Advanced degree Chemistry or closely related field
  • Doctorate (Ph.D.) preferred in the related subdiscipline they will be teaching
