To develop and/or teach designated graduate course(s) within the guidelines and policies of the University and Graduate College. Specific course(s) and responsibilities are outlined in the Letter of Agreement between the instructor and the Graduate College. Teach designated graduate course(s) during indicated semester(s). Work in collaboration with College staff and faculty to develop and/or review course and assessment materials, including laboratory sections if applicable. Produce a course syllabus which should include the course objectives, outline of course content, testing dates, course requirements for final grade determination, required or recommended resource texts, etc. Provide the Graduate College with information needed to order the course textbook(s). Provide the Graduate College with materials for copying or printing at least one week prior to the course or class start date. Provide a final course grade for each student by the specified date according to the Graduate College’s grade scale. Participate in the course evaluation process. Provide guidance and supervision for teaching/laboratory assistants if applicable. For course(s) with a laboratory component: Provide the Graduate College with a list of equipment and supplies needed for each session at least one month prior to the course or class start date. Provide students with a laboratory manual including explanations of techniques and materials to be used. Instruct the preparator prior to setting up the laboratory sessions. Maintain office hours for academic support. Interacts with co-workers, visitors, and other staff consistent with the core values of the University.
