Adjunct, Biology and Biomedical Sciences - Salve Regina University
About The Position
The Biology and Biomedical Sciences department at Salve Regina University is seeking highly qualified and motivated instructors to teach introductory level lecture and lab courses in Biology (e.g. Nutrition, Human Biology for non-majors, Microbiology for Nursing majors). Upper-level courses may also be available, depending on departmental schedules and the applicant's area of expertise. This is an ongoing search, as teaching opportunities are available in the Biology department most semesters. The applicant is expected to support the university's mercy mission and to foster an inclusive and engaging classroom and/or lab environment.
Requirements
- A minimum of a Master's degree in Biology (or related field) or other terminal professional degree.
- Demonstrable experience teaching at the undergraduate level.
- Ability to teach courses at their scheduled times (may be morning, afternoon or evening).
- Experience using technology and interactive electronic materials to support teaching and learning.
- Knowledge of Learning Management Systems such as Canvas.
Nice To Haves
- A Ph.D. in Biology is preferred
