About The Position
Centurion is proud to be the provider of comprehensive healthcare services to the Indiana Department of Correction. Centurion Health contracts with state and local governments nationwide to provide comprehensive healthcare services to correctional facilities, state hospitals, and other community settings. We are seeking Substance Abuse/Drug and Alcohol Treatment Professionals to serve as the Addiction Recovery Specialist in a full-time position at Putnamville Correctional Facility in Greencastle, Indiana. Bachelor's in Human Services or related field is required. CADACII certification (or higher LAC, LAC-A) is required or the ability to obtain within 24 months of hire The Addiction Recovery Specialist provides supportive substance abuse treatment and rehabilitation services to patients within a correctional facility, through outpatient treatment, addiction recovery education, and group counseling. Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree preferably in the human services field
- Certified Alcohol and Drug Addiction Consultant (CADAC II+, LAC, LAC-A, LSW) or higher certification/licensure or the ability to obtain within 24 months of hiring date
- Must show/obtain current tuberculosis screening documentation and active CPR, first-aid, Basic Life Support (BLS), and Automated External Defibrillator (AED) use certification
- Must be able to pass a background investigation and obtain agency security clearance where applicable
