About The Position

North Spring Behavioral Healthcare is currently hiring a Quality Assurance File Clerk to join our Acute Unit! The Quality Assurance File Clerk is responsible for ensuring institutional compliance with the Virginia Department of Behavioral health and Developmental Services, Virginia Medicaid Services, Tricare and Joint Commission. This position is tasked with ongoing compliance audits of current medical records. Priority responsibilities include organization and filing of patient records and other pertinent documents and maintenance of an effective storage and filing system for documents. Location: Beautiful Leesburg, Virginia, 40 miles Northwest of Washington DC. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in related field
  • One to three years experience in Quality Assurance and medical records is preferred

Responsibilities

  • Ensuring institutional compliance with the Virginia Department of Behavioral health and Developmental Services, Virginia Medicaid Services, Tricare and Joint Commission.
  • Ongoing compliance audits of current medical records.
  • Organization and filing of patient records and other pertinent documents
  • Maintenance of an effective storage and filing system for documents.
  • Developing and maintaining databases
  • Labeling and updating paper files
  • Putting all forms of files into their proper locations
  • Gathering and organizing files and documents in collaboration with the Medical Records Department, such as patient records.
  • Answering phones and doors
  • Greeting visitors
  • Maintaining documents to be shredded and office supply inventories
  • Troubleshooting computers, printers, fax machines, scanners, shredders and other office equipment, collaborating with IT for repairs of various office equipment as needed.
  • Performs other related duties assigned by management.
