About The Position

Carroll Hospital in Westminster, Maryland, is part of the NovaCare/LifeBridge Health family. This 153-bed inpatient hospital is seeking a part time or per diem physical therapist assistant (PTA). We can consider PTAs who are interested in full time hours when coupled with neighboring NovaCare outpatient orthopedic locations. New graduate physical therapist assistants are welcome to apply. We have a large, multidisciplinary team that can support your transition to licensed clinical experience. We are open Monday through Saturday and most holidays. Whether you are per diem to full time, we can discuss a schedule that makes sense for you in conjunction with our patients' and team's needs. We provide advanced treatment and comprehensive care to best address the medical, physical, emotional, and vocational challenges for individuals with: Brain Injury Spinal Cord Injury Stroke Amputation Neurological Disorders Orthopedic Conditions Multiple Traumas

Requirements

  • College graduate of an accredited physical therapist assistant program
  • Passed a national examination for PTAs certified by the CAPTE
  • Valid state physical therapist assistant (PTA) license (or license in process)
  • CPR certification

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for patient care under the direction and supervision of a licensed physical therapist as mandated by State Practice Act.
  • Implement, with minimal supervision, high quality physical therapy services for patients, caregivers and facilities in accordance with the principals and practices of physical therapy and with Select Medical policies and procedures
  • Maintain positive level of interaction with centers and patients, and enhance and expand client relations with centers and their staff.
