Acute Care Nurse Practitioner – Neurology North Full-Time, Monday–Friday | Baptist Medical Center Campus Join a Neurology Team Making a Real Difference Neurological conditions touch every aspect of a patient’s life. We’re seeking a skilled and motivated AGACNP to support our growing Neurology service and help expand patient access to high-quality care. What You’ll Do Improve patient access by conducting new patient evaluations, follow-up visits, and urgent access appointments Perform neurology-related procedures within scope and competency Manage medication renewals and titration protocols in collaboration with supervising physicians Provide ongoing care for stable chronic neurology patients under a collaborative practice model Streamline documentation and support workflow efficiencies to reduce provider administrative burden Conditions we treat Autoimmune neurological disorders Dementia Epilepsy Headaches Ischemic stroke Migraines Multiple Sclerosis Neuromuscular disorders Parkinson's disease Stroke care Seizures Great benefits include medical, dental, vision, retirement savings plan, paid time off (PTO) and professional expense allowance. The Nurse Practitioner provides medical consultation, routine patient care, and follow-up as directed. This position requires population specific competencies. Requirements

  • Master's degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
  • Current Oklahoma Nurse Practitioner license.
  • Current BLS Certification.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively in English

Responsibilities

  • Initiates and completes a detailed patient assessment.
  • Initiates the order of laboratory tests, radiological examinations and other routine diagnostic procedures.
  • Diagnoses the actual or potential health problem or need, based upon an analysis of the data collected, and plans therapeutic intervention.
  • Orders and initiates appropriate medication, treatment, and consultation based upon an analysis of the data collected.
  • Orders or performs routine procedures such as injections, immunizations, suturing (not involving tendons, arteries or nerves) wound care, venous and arterial blood draws, and managing simple conditions produced by infection, trauma or other disease processes.
  • Educates the patient regarding prescribed treatment and medication(s).
  • The Nurse Practitioner reports to the supervising physician and Operations Manager Practice Management.
