This position is located in the Activity Department of the Veterans Home of California-Chula Vista and is responsible for the planning, coordination and implementation of the activity programs for skilled nursing residents, and performing other duties as assigned. Activities shall be provided on a daily basis and shall be designed to meet, in accordance with the comprehensive assessment, the residents' physical, intellectual, emotional, spiritual, cultural and social needs and interests. Requirements

  • Activity Coordinator Training Course Certificate
  • Military service must be included in the Employment History section of the Employment Applications (STD. 678)
  • The application package must include documentation of discharge, appropriate to the branch of service. The documentation must reflect a discharge/release under conditions other than dishonorable
  • Successful completion of a live scan
  • Successful completion of a pre-employment physical (including drug testing for certain civil service classifications)
